We'd happily stay at Hotel Real Cortes again. The staff were so kind and accommodating, and the town centre and famous pastes shop are just a minute away on foot. We loved our spacious, comfortable room, especially the amazing balcony view. The bed was so warm and cozy that we slept like babies.

The water never got beyond lukewarm, going from freezing to cold first, and there was only a limited supply because the town had serious water problems. The sink also leaked underneath. The staff who helped us, including the receptionist, were very friendly and helpful. We were told the water was excellent and came straight from “the mountain”; I like to imagine it's from rainwater reserves in the lovely forests nearby. We had a hard time locating the hotel even though the address was right. It was tucked away, with no sign or arrow pointing out the entrance.

Just a block from the center, so the location is great. The bed and pillows were really comfortable. The towels smelled musty, though. Aside from that, the hotel was excellent.

I’d come back whenever I return to this magical town. The reception staff were excellent, and the hotel has a beautiful view, especially in foggy weather. It’s one block from the center, about 10 minutes from the mine and 20 minutes from the English cemetery.
