I booked three rooms online and the money was deducted, but at the hotel they told me I hadn’t paid and that the online charge was only a deposit. I’ve booked hotels before, so this didn’t make sense to me. It felt like they were taking advantage of my friend because they don’t know English. I can’t recommend this place at all. We spent three weeks at Del Centro, and it was cheaper than the other hotels. It was peaceful, and we didn’t see roaches like at Hotel Monterrey Macroplaza. The staff treated us kindly and made us feel at home, so we’re planning to return in January. It’s within walking distance of downtown Monterrey, attractions, and restaurants. Don’t expect anything fancy, though. The lobby has antique pieces, including a detailed scale model ship of the San Felipe 1690 that’s striking if you’re into that kind of thing. In the rooms at the front, the shower had no second sliding door, so water splashed out; a towel handled it. Our bathroom exhaust fan also wasn’t working, but they sent an electrician to repair it. Hope you enjoy your stay and stay safe.

The room looked nothing like the photos, and it was unbearably hot at reception with no AC. When I arrived, they made me wait a long time while they checked whether my reservation payment had gone through. They didn’t even apologize. Never again.

What you see in the online photos is nothing like the place in person. It was awful, and I felt completely misled. A total scam!!!
