The location is very good, and I think the hotel has potential if it makes some improvements. But I can’t recommend it based on my stay. The room we got didn’t match the pictures, even though we paid extra for an upgrade, and the bathroom was very poor, with almost no water pressure. The continental breakfast was garbage. They didn’t have milk for the coffee, just some cream.

A clean, quiet place in a great location, and the staff were friendly. There was a coffee machine in the room, but the complimentary coffee was only provided on the first day.

The hotel was quiet at night and in a good location, but I wouldn’t choose it again. We stayed three nights after arriving early Wednesday morning, and weren’t allowed to check in until sometime after 2-3 pm. The administration didn’t seem accommodating. We asked if we could have breakfast Wednesday since we’d be leaving early Saturday and miss breakfast then, but the front desk said no. They also agreed to an earlier breakfast at 7:30 Thursday, but there was no hot food ready when we went to the dining area, so we ate elsewhere. The bathroom fixtures were poorly installed. The towel and toothbrush holders kept falling off, and the towel hooks weren’t screwed in. The AC didn’t cool even after hours on high turbo. On Thursday, there was no water, and nobody warned us. We had to use bottled water to wash our faces, brush our teeth, and flush the toilet. When we went to ask, they said water would come back hours later. Housekeeping also forgot fresh towels and toilet paper, so we had to keep asking. That was when they gave us some bottled water too. There should be better options in the area, and I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

The staff at the BKL hotel were friendly and incredibly helpful, going out of their way to make our stay special. My husband and I had a great time there. The rooms were clean and had AC, and the hotel is near major attractions. They also serve complimentary breakfast each morning, which was a nice bonus. I’d highly recommend staying here when visiting Oaxaca.

We stayed a few weeks ago and still miss it. The hotel was beautiful and stylish, with lovely rooms and gorgeous bedding, and exceptionally clean. Lupita was so friendly and always smiling. We were spoiled there, and none of our hotels since have matched it. The room had the best Oaxcan coffee, and Netflix was free too. It’s only a five-minute walk from the centre.
