The staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was large, but the windows were very dirty. This hotel seems to cater more to manual workers than tourists, and the area around it feels a bit run down. The property itself is old and the décor dated. The AC was loud and didn't work well; when I asked for an extra fan, they said they don't provide one. We made a mistake booking here as tourists, and I wouldn't stay again.

The room was clean, but the shower water never got very hot. Wi-Fi was only sporadically usable. I couldn't watch a movie without it stopping every ten minutes, and even Facebook or Gmail barely opened. The hotel was just okay.

The location is hard to beat, and the customer service and security were great. It's a bare-bones hotel, but there's loads of parking and an Oxxo just a short crawl away. They were renovating as of July 2025, and it's still a great place.

The hotel is a little dated, though it has a modern elevator and updated, secure card locks on the rooms. It's about a ten-minute walk to the centre. My room was spacious, the Wi-Fi worked great on the third floor, and I always had hot water. The staff were accommodating and even refunded two nights I couldn't use because of a family emergency.

For a basic place to stay, Hotel Le Gar is a good deal. The room was huge, though at this price you shouldn't expect modern or posh. It's a budget hotel near the city centre, and you can walk to Macroplaza and the museums.
