My mother and I had a lovely stay. The rooms were basic but clean, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. The breakfast selection was especially impressive, though it’s best to come down early for the widest choice. A special shoutout to the male staff member who kept the breakfast area tidy and replenished the food as it ran low. He was incredible, went above and beyond, and warmly welcomed guests in the morning. He deserves recognition.

We were in town for an event at the Arena Monterrey, and this hotel worked perfectly. The south-facing rooms have beautiful views, so I’d get one of those. The elevator was frustrating when several people were trying to use it, but I eventually realized my room key was the problem. Keep it away from your phone, and you can finally beat the elevator. I’ll definitely stay here again.

The sushi restaurant on the second floor was surprisingly good for a hotel, though I’d choose the more traditional dishes over the sushi. The breakfast servers were especially helpful, and the staff were competent overall. Rooms were clean and good value. I just wish there were more restaurants and cafes nearby. Getting to the Expo mall means crossing several busy roads, which is just an odd feature of the location, not the hotel’s fault.

The location is convenient, and the room is okay, but the shower water swings between too hot and too cold, with no comfortable in-between. The water pressure is weak too. There’s a slight strange smell in the room, possibly from a problem with the toilet pipes. Coffee and water are available in the lobby all the time, but the coffee was much worse than at every Tru by Hilton in the U.S. where I stayed during this trip.
