There are just six rooms, so it stays quiet with few guests. The building is even more beautiful than it appears in photos. Everything feels new, and the manager told me it had recently been remodeled while preserving the original architecture. I also got a look at the event terrace, which wasn't ready yet on January 10, 2026, but should soon be available to rent. It's lovely, with direct views of Morelia Cathedral and other nearby churches. It looks like a special place to hold an event. The location is hard to beat: two blocks from the cathedral, one block from the main avenue, and within walking distance of everything. Check-in is self-service, which suited me because I wasn't sure when I'd arrive and didn't have to wait in a line. Staff answered our questions promptly on WhatsApp, shared plenty of city recommendations, and were always helpful and cheerful. Our suite was excellent value, especially compared with the price of a standard room at other nearby hotels. It had a kitchenette with all the utensils needed to prepare a meal, plus a smoke detector in both the kitchenette and bedroom. The mattress was memory foam, comfortably between firm and soft. The room was very clean, with fresh sheets. The TV was larger than you'd usually find in a hotel, maybe 55-60 inches, and had Netflix. I normally don't care about the TV, but after a tiring day I turned it on and didn't want to leave the room. A couple of things to consider: there's no hotel parking. That's common in the center, where hotels often use valet services that leave your car in a public lot. I prefer not to hand over my car, so I asked about parking before booking. A lot is just a few steps away, but it closes at 10 p.m. We arrived after closing on our first night, and the helpful staff gave us other options. We ended up finding a street spot right in front of the hotel. The area felt safe, with regular police patrols. Also, most suites have the bedroom upstairs, so stairs may be difficult for an older person. On the manager's tour I learned suite #5 has its kitchen and bathroom on the ground floor, so ask about it if traveling with someone with limited mobility.
