I stayed there for six months during covid, when the place was almost always empty. My GF and I were good, quiet guests, and even became friends with Diana, Benjos sister. We left the room in great shape, but Benjo still refused to return my deposit. Sadly, that seems typical in this country. Don’t leave a deposit for a long stay. I’d avoid the place unless you just need a night or two.

The location is excellent, and the place has a certain charm. But the room cleanliness needs work. We were four people in two rooms, and both smelled awful, with a sewage smell too. One room had very dirty sheets and pillowcases, and neither room had soap or toiletries. The towels were clean, but old, torn, and worn out. The value for the price could be better.

It’s very central, with a grocery store just steps away and the main avenue and candy museum only two blocks off. The staff are attentive and the kitchen is super clean. For the price, it’s a good deal, though our room was tiny for a married couple, with practically everything piled up. The bathroom was very small too, and I could feel the mattress springs, which made it somewhat uncomfortable.
