Hotel Colonial

The room was an average size, though the bathroom felt a little tight. Soap and shampoo were provided. High ceilings gave the place a historic feel. It was very cheap and not bad overall. I'll come back.

We slept decently for what we paid, and the hotel fits Morelia's colonial look and feel. During our one-night stay, the staff were friendly and welcoming. The rooms were very tidy and clean, though not large. Drinks and snacks are available at reception, and downstairs in the lobby there was coffee, hot tea, and crackers for cold days. We ran out of toilet paper and had to go downstairs for more because there was no room phone. Wi-Fi is available on request, but I had to look up the hotel's phone number to reach reception and get the password.

It's a nice spot very close to the Catedral, with lots to do around Morelia. The room was small and the price felt a bit high. The people there were nice, and they offer cafe con pan dulce, though I didn't wake up in time to find out how good it was.

Our car was stolen from the street outside the hotel. There was no parking available unless you paid over $250 pesos per night, and it felt like they were trying to force that option on guests. The service was terrible, and the rooms smelled like sewage.
