There are plenty of places to eat within walking distance, since the hotel has no dining on site. Some guests mentioned noise from neighboring buildings late at night, and a few rooms may have little natural light, which could matter if that affects your comfort. The courtyard is peaceful, and the traditional architecture gives the place charm alongside its modern amenities. It's close to the main square and Tarascas fountain. Guests often praise the roomy, cozy beds, cleanliness, and attentive daily housekeeping. Staff are friendly and willing to help, including with requests to use the communal kitchen. For a visit to Morelia, it offers a convenient and comfortable stay.

The patio has chairs, and you can order food from the restaurants next door and eat there. Staff were helpful, and if you ask nicely, you can use their refrigerator. The rooms were fine, with a fan for hot weather and hot water whenever needed. You can get an iron on request. You do have to leave the physical key when you go out. The hotel is between the main attractions, with the Tarascas fountain on one side and downtown on the other, both under a 13-minute walk. I'd stay again. Other reviews mentioned noise, but we didn't hear any from our room at the end of the building.

The staff made it easy to feel at home. Jos and Fer at reception were friendly and answered my billing and other questions. I liked the peaceful, well-located hotel, with its rustic feel, plants, and two seating areas with tables and chairs. My room was lovely, and the sheets and towels were in good condition. I liked the decor, and unlike what I'd read in earlier reviews, I didn't notice humidity. Booking through the Hotel Casa del Fraile website went smoothly, and I'd book at Hotel Casa del Fraile again.

I travel to Morelia often, and this is my favorite hotel. The rooms are consistently clean, and the staff are always warm and welcoming. The facilities and location are top-notch, and I appreciate that the hotel is accessible for guests with mobility issues.
