The buffet was good and had the basics. The room, though, needs a complete upgrade. The shower was clogged, the bathroom sink had no strainer and water ran out to the sides, and the faucets leaked. The window was stuck, with old, rusty paint, and the toilet seat was very loose while the tank was cracked. The fan worked, but the hair dryer didn’t.

The location is great, close to downtown, and check-in was quick. It looks like a small hotel, but the pool is lovely. The room was small, comfortable and cozy. The buffet breakfast was amazing, too. I think the service was amazing when I was 18, and it still is. They were very patient with all the students. One hassle was the key, which stopped working around four or five times during my three-day stay. Also, the pool is on the third floor, so in windy weather your clothes might blow away.

It’s a quaint, clean hotel at a reasonable price, close to the historic sights. The simple breakfast buffet is included. It’s just off av. Madero, so it isn’t especially quiet. The rooms are a little small, and the renovations make it awkward to move around, especially with more than one person. There’s no AC, but the ceiling fans and window screens help.
