Hotel Booye

I come back whenever work brings me to Navojoa. It’s clean, the rooms are well equipped, breakfast is free, and the staff are friendly and plentiful. My only recurring gripe is the late-night noise from people partying. I know that may be more of a Mexico thing than a hotel issue, but I wish they’d do a little to quiet things down in the early hours.

We’ve stopped here on our northbound drives to Nogales for the past three years. There’s a guard watching the parking lot, and we’ve never had a security problem. In the room, we get a safe, a small fridge, and a couple of bottles of water. The place is reliably clean and comfortable, and the staff are kind and helpful. Breakfast is good too. I especially like the chilaquiles with an egg before another day on the road.

The room was comfortable, though outside traffic came through the walls, and when I visited in May 2021 there were lots of mosquitoes in it. The bar and restaurant are great. There’s also a decent gym and a small pool.

The rooms were clean and new, with comfortable beds, a walk-in shower, and a nice flat-screen TV. Parking was easy and close to every room, and service was quick and professional. I was pleasantly surprised by how good the value was. The lobby feels newly refreshed, and apparently the whole hotel does too. There’s a full gym and a nice pool. The first-floor bar and restaurant are good for watching sports, and the rooftop bar on the third floor is worth a visit. An OXXO is right across the street, and Los arbolitos is next door for seafood.
