Fiesta Inn Express Nuevo Laredo

My wife and I were both bitten several times last night, and this morning we found fleas in the bed. The mattress is old and flat too. Aside from that, it's a nice hotel.

The bed was actually comfortable, but that was the only saving grace. The rooms looked spacious and well appointed, yet the cleaning was shockingly bad. There was dust in places, and I had to clean a lot of grime off the shower head before I could shower. A room service container with leftovers sat by my door when I arrived and was still there the next morning. At first, Fiesta Inn seemed like a decent place for a layover night in Nuevo Laredo. Check-in changed that impression: the receptionist was slow and indifferent, focused more on her phone than on the guest. She gave me the wrong room number twice, and I had to go back because neither room number existed on the floor she specified. The same thing happened separately to my Mexican traveling companion. Not recommended. There are plenty of other hotels in Nuevo Laredo.

My son's socks were black after our first night because the floor was dirty. The pool looked barely used, had only about three quarters of its water and was cold. There wasn't any grass beside it like there is in the picture.

The room and bathroom were clean, and the bed was comfortable. Staff were very sweet, and security felt professional and great. You need a key to take the elevator up. The dining room was nice, and the waitstaff were attentive and knew the menu well. The location is ideal for exploring during the day, with Walmart nearby.
