Holiday Inn Express Nuevo Laredo by IHG

We stay at the Holiday Inn express Nuevo laredo every time we come, and we've never had any issues. The rooms are always clean and we feel well looked after. Breakfast is amazing, with a good spread that changes each morning. If you're an American traveling to Nuevo laredo, you'd really like it. It's right across the border, and you can see the river.

The room was an excellent size, as was the bathroom, and it came with toiletries. Plenty of hot water, towels, comfortable pillows and a very nice bed. For the price, the free breakfast is pretty great, and the restaurant food is good too. WiFi is excellent. The front desk and staff are accommodating to an extent, and the area feels safe at least inside the compound. A couple of bottles of water per room is all you get, and there's nothing nearby. The staff don't speak English, the TV is Spanish only, and they don't serve beer or liquor.

The lunch room's AC wasn't working, and the gym equipment was old and outdated. The ice maker had no ice, and the soap dispenser was empty. My room was also missing some of the towels and other things every Holiday Inn should provide.

I feel at home here. Learning Spanish and the culture is a goal I'm working toward, and from the moment I walk in, I'm treated like family. Most of the front desk staff speak both languages and go out of their way to make the stay pleasant. The rooms are very clean and well kept. It's easy to get to, close to attractions like the zoo and sporting fields, and not far from the city center. Looking out at the Rio Grande and the United States is a unique part of staying here.
