The location is nice, with restaurants an easy walk away, and I had no problem with my stay itself. Still, the hotel cancelled my Expedia reservation on their end, which felt shady. They also charged an extra 5% for paying by credit card. We had to remind the staff and manager that this fee is illegal and is an operating cost of running a business. The room needed a deep clean. There was grime along the bottom of the shower curtain, the bed covers looked dusty, and the shower pressure kept changing.

A simple modern room that was very comfortable, and a great base for exploring the city. Sometimes nobody was at the desk when I wanted information.

The staff were perfect, and we still had a fun time in Oaxaca. But the room was noisy, with a lot of echo in the lobby. I'm pretty sure my kids woke other people, and guests arriving between 10pm and 2am definitely woke us. The shower tiles and drain were dirty, and the room felt a little overpriced for what we used it for. There are lots of great places to stay around for not much more.

I enjoyed my time here. It's clean and close to the city. But if there's a sign asking people to keep quiet, shouldn't the 24-hour reception make sure nobody's chatting around 8am? Seriously, what's the sign for? I'm not saying it was the staff, but it was clearly someone speaking the local language.
