Hotel Camba

I really liked wandering around the streets nearby. They’re a little off the main tourist map, but there are great murals, cafes, restaurants, bars, and the markets. The hotel itself is central without being in the thick of the tourist crowd farther north, which suited me. I stayed seven nights in a simple but comfortable room, and the staff were relaxed and helpful. Breakfast was basic, but it was nice to have something included. I’d absolutely stay here again.

The included pan dulce and coffee each morning were a nice touch, and everyone on staff was very friendly. We found the hotel quiet, with clean, pleasant rooms and good value for the price. We really enjoyed our stay.

A really clean, affordable hotel, and the staff were so helpful and friendly. The bathroom smelled a bit musty, and the shower was weak, though it did get hot enough.

There are good restaurants and cantinas just a couple of blocks away, and it’s about a 20-minute walk to the Zocalo. Hotel Camba is in a quiet area, and the staff can help arrange a cab or day tours to nearby attractions. It’s clean, safe, and well maintained, with friendly, helpful people working there. Breakfast is coffee or tea with locally made sweet rolls. It’s not the Ritz, but for a dependable hotel in a good spot at a great price, we’d recommend it.
