Los Olivos Spa

The garden is magnificent, and the rooms and shared areas were very clean. It felt like a great place to unwind and recharge. We tried breakfast at the restaurant and enjoyed the delicious variety, from healthy dishes to more indulgent choices. The staff were friendly and professional. We also had a massage and manicure at the spa, and both were high quality.

The outside pool is amazing, the gardens are beautifully kept, and the rooms now have air conditioning, which is perfect for hot Oaxaca days. Apart from the noise issue, I have nothing but good things to say about this place. It's better for busy people with full plans than for anyone hoping to rest. Room maintenance and gardening staff start their rounds early and can be loud, making it hard to stay in and sleep. If you want late mornings and a restful stay, you might run into a problem. That's just my personal experience.

The pool gets 4 stars, and the restaurant gets 2. Eating there lets you spend the afternoon by the pool, which is a nice perk. At least you can get some vegetables there. I've been to the restaurant twice with friends and tried about six dishes. Everything tasted like bland cafeteria food, and the room had the feel of eating in an office.

We all enjoyed dinner there. I went with two others to their vegan restaurant, where I found the food really good. When I visited, there was a salad bar and a three-course meal for 75 pesos. It was tasty, basic food rather than anything fancy. They also have an à la carte menu.
