The restaurant staff were lovely, and the food was very good for the price. My room was clean and basic, with thick towels and toiletries provided. The shower reliably got hot, but it took 5-10 minutes of running first. This is a solid pick if you need to be near the bus station. You can hear the buses coming and going, but I slept fine with earplugs. The staff were attentive and cordial. The main downside was the temperature control: the AC wouldn’t go below 25 C, and the fan stayed on low. Oaxaca gets hot in the daytime, so I wished the room could get cooler.

The noise made it hard to get proper rest. I could hear people walking around and talking loudly late into the night. On our last morning, we needed an early taxi to the airport. We arranged it the day before with a receptionist for 300 pesos, but another receptionist charged us 350 pesos when we were leaving. We explained what we’d agreed, but he wouldn’t honor it. It’s not really about the money, it’s about the hotel’s integrity and honesty. The location is convenient, right beside the ADO bus terminal, and room cleaning was okay. The bed was made and water and toiletries were replenished each day. But the room was small and dated, the heater didn’t work, and hot water took a very long time. The TV often stopped working and I had to reset both the box and TV. When my friend was sick and needed hot water, we asked reception for a kettle and cups or glasses, since there were none in the room. The receptionist just shook her head and said no, with no effort to help. We stayed three nights in Jan 2026. For the price, the room and service weren’t worth it, and the bad outweighed the good. I wouldn’t recommend it: the room’s old, service is poor, and we had concerns about honesty. It’s expensive for what you get, and I haven’t seen the hotel reply to reviews here.

My family member left her wallet at the hotel after it slipped through a crack in the bed. Once she realized it was missing, she contacted them, and they confirmed they had found it. But when she went to collect it and counted the cash in front of staff, ₱5,000 was gone. They told her, “That’s your problem.” They were rude and dismissive, and then kicked her out of the hotel. They had the wallet and knew money was missing, yet offered no help or basic courtesy. We also weren’t called to let us know the wallet had been found. We’re disgusted and deeply disappointed by how this was handled. If you expect respect and professionalism around your belongings, stay somewhere else. We’ll never return, and we’ll tell people we know to avoid it. They clearly don’t care about their guests.

The staff were friendly and the place felt safe when we visited 4 months ago. It’s a decent little hotel. The beds weren’t anything special, but we slept without trouble, and I’d stay there again. I’d skip the restaurant, though. My mother found a hair in her food, and they wouldn’t offer a refund or even apologize.

Check-in and checkout were easy, and the English-speaking reception staff were very helpful. They let me keep my luggage in their storage room for over 16 hours, which was kind of them. The hotel and rooms were clean and quiet, and there’s a restaurant and tour desk too. It’s right beside the bus station, so there’s no need for a transfer, and downtown is about a 15-minute walk. You’ll love it.
