Posada Independencia

The staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating with anything we asked for, and breakfast was delicious each morning. We also had comfortable, clean rooms and a fantastic location. I had an amazing stay and will definitely return next time I’m in Oaxaca.

Breakfast was the highlight for us. Each day brought a different delicious dish, and the team was very helpful with our dietary requirements. We also enjoyed how chic and comfortable the rooms were. The staff shared some great recommendations, and it’s easy to walk to the center of Oaxaca from Posada Independencia. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and couldn’t recommend it more.

We had our own bathroom, so there was no need to share, and the room came with plenty of useful things: shampoo, body wash, lotion, a hair dryer, towels, an umbrella, and hangers. The room and the place around it were cozy, clean, comfortable, safe, and quiet. They also provide water in every room, which was the best part. Posada Independencia is a new hotel, about a 15-20 minute walk from downtown. There’s a breakfast bar with yogurt, granola, and seasonal fruit, though we didn’t try it.

We had two rooms, and both were very comfortable. The shared spaces were lovely, and the complimentary breakfast was delicious. The location worked well for us, about a 10-15 minute walk from the city center, close enough to get around without dealing with the crowds. We’d definitely stay again and recommend it as an affordable, comfortable option. It was particularly hot when we visited, so I was a little worried about there being no A/C, but we had no trouble sleeping. The ceiling fans were strong. There’s no manager on site, but someone was available virtually, replied quickly, and was very helpful with all our questions.
