Huayapam Yù'ú Lodge

We ended up stretching our two-night booking to four and had a really relaxing break. It was a wonderful place, and we much prefer smaller towns and villages to staying in the city. The owner was lovely and did everything she could for us. Our room was pretty and well cared for, with plenty of outlets and comfortable beds. The bathroom was beautiful, with lots of hot water. The restaurant served great food, and the village was only a few minutes’ walk away, with some good places to eat. Parking was excellent for our motorbikes and locked at night. We’d definitely return.

The best thing was how peaceful it felt, with no children around, so couples could actually relax. We stayed a few months ago during the 'Día de la Muerte' festival, and I’ve booked another visit for July. The place has a nice vibe, surrounded by nature with lovely views of the nearby mountain range. We liked the look and comfort of our room, and Fernanda was helpful and attentive.

I loved the atmosphere and being surrounded by nature. The food was delicious, and the customer service and accommodations were great. I spent three amazing days here and highly recommend it if you want somewhere spacious, quiet, and comfortable to relax.

Fernando and Fernanda were warm, welcoming hosts, and the food was absolutely fantastic. It’s hard to put into words how good it was. We spent 3 days in this little paradise near Oaxaca, close enough for a day in the city but surrounded by nature. The village has enough restaurants to keep you occupied, and the cocktailbar is amazing. It’s also a great base for day trips to places like Hierve el Agua, Milta, and various Mescal distilleries. We can’t recommend it enough.
