Motel Las Maravillas

My dear, I’m sorry to say this was the worst hotel stay I’ve ever had. First, the electricity was out for the first day and again today, so we had no lights at night and couldn’t charge our phones for 2 days. There’s also been no hot water for 3 days now, and we haven’t showered. There were bugs everywhere on the bed, and my body itched so much that at 3 in the morning we couldn’t stay in the room any longer. You offered room 20, and although we didn’t move right away, we eventually went there hoping there wouldn’t be bed bugs. But the AC in room 20 was broken and wouldn’t turn on. After moving our shower items, we had to go back to room 23 and sleep with the bugs. We called reception many times and nobody answered, and nobody answered the hotel mobile number either. There’s nowhere to store our clothes. Even the cheapest Airbnb has a cabinet. We paid for a room with a jacuzzi but got no hot water. Is this some kind of joke? I don’t understand. The room doesn’t even have a fridge, bathroom rope, bath slippers, or water bottles. Finally, why did you charge us 9000 pesos when the room costs 600 pesos, as written on the wall? Why were we charged 9000 online too? I want my money back. You should have charged 3000 pesos at most. Please fix all our issues or refund us and let us check out of this hell.

The place was clean, but the atmosphere felt really heavy. I wouldn't recommend staying here. I booked through airb and asked how long it would take to walk to the city center. They said 15 minutes, but that was misleading. It's much farther, around 25 to 30 minutes by car. I don't find the place very reputable, and you can guess why.

The service was good.
