We'd happily come back. The staff were kind and ready to help, and the Wi-Fi worked well enough for my partner to work without trouble. Our room had a comfortable bed and a spacious bathroom with a good hot shower. The property has a lovely terrace with places to sit. It's near Centro, but tucked onto a quiet side street.

Getting around on foot was easy from here, whether we were headed to central Oaxaca town, Reforma, or the bus station. We stayed for three nights in March 2025 in this small apart hotel, which has only a few rooms, and booked through Booking.com. Before we arrived, they sent clear instructions over WhatsApp. The same number was available during our stay whenever we needed help, including arranging a taxi, getting more towels or drinking water, and requesting housekeeping or a cleaning.

We were very happy with our choice and couldn't have asked for a better stay. The Agave is in a quiet, historic spot that's also convenient, with restaurants, park squares, and broad pedestrian-only streets close by. There's also a rooftop seating area with a clear view of the surroundings. We stayed in two suites with our adult children in February 2025. One had a king bed and the other had two full beds. Both had attractive, modern, roomy bedrooms and bathrooms, plus a fully equipped kitchen and adjoining living area.
