Hotel Boutique Típico

The staff were kind, friendly, and efficient, and breakfast was delicious. Our experience at Hotel Tipico was fantastic. The facilities were excellent, with an enormous comfortable bed and a wonderful shower that was hot and powerful. Everything was spotless. The hotel is only a year old, so it all looks brand new, and there's a lovely garden and nice public rooms.

The rooms and location are great, and the general manager was great too. But the checkout left things on a weird note. The young guy left at the desk said we still owed 2 Mexican cents. We thought he was joking, but he insisted he couldn't close the account while there was a balance. We laughed and asked what he expected us to do since we couldn't pay 2 cents. We gave him a 50-cent coin, and he kept the change. That little episode made the end of the stay strange.

We found the location excellent for seeing many of the sites, with most of them within walking distance, and the staff were extremely helpful. We enjoyed staying at Tipico H& R and would definitely return when we're back in Orizaba.

Our room felt brand new, with amazing bedding and towels, and a huge shower in the master suite. Jean Paul, the manager, went out of his way to help us, and Karen at the front desk did too. They both speak English fluently. They welcomed our Frenchies warmly, and the location is fantastic. What a great hidden gem, with top-notch service. Orizaba is an amazing city.
