The location worked well, close to the bus station, and the receptionist was friendly and spoke excellent English. Our room was spotless, with a king-size bed. I'd definitely recommend it.

We slept really well here, and the staff were friendly. The air conditioning gets very cold, and the beds are comfortable. They make the bed and mop the floor daily, and change the clean sheets and huge towels every day too. Hot water takes about five minutes to arrive, but it does eventually come through. It feels like a lot of water gets wasted while waiting. There's a roast chicken shop right outside the entrance on the left corner, and a supermarket to the right as you leave. The location is great, and Hotel Kashlan is one of the best places we've stayed in Mexico. Thanks!
The internet was painfully slow and mostly unusable, and the room was dark with dim lighting. Our room on the second floor was fairly large, clean, with a wide comfortable bed, white towels, and a decent bathroom. It had one window that wasn't really a window, plus another onto the corridor that was always covered by a curtain. The hotel looks better in the photos than it does in person. Its location is convenient, not far from the ADO terminal or the town centre.
The woman at reception was especially kind and helpful, spoke great English, gave us useful suggestions and locations, and even offered to keep some things in their fridge. We also loved the pizza they make. The small one is huge! The hotel sits right by the main street, where everything moves quickly, but it didn't feel unsafe. Colectivo vans for the Palenque ruins leave from the next street over, about 20 metres away. The place is a bit worn out, and we didn't sleep well. The fan was directly above the bed, very loud, and only had one strong setting. There was A/C too, but it was badly placed on the wall opposite the bed and blew straight at us. Without it, the room was hot and humid. Wi-Fi was very poor.
We needed a simple place for one night near the ADO Bus Terminal. The hotel is near the city centre, on a side street, and was quiet at night. Our room had air conditioning and a TV, and the bathroom had good water pressure and hot running water.
