The only downside is that there aren't any amenities on the island. For groceries or restaurants on the mainland, you need to take the boat, though it's a fun little ride and free for resort guests. We had a great stay: the rooms were comfortable and very nice, with no complaints from us. There's a lovely pool, two hot tubs, and a swim-up bar with a small restaurant. The food was delicious. We ate lunch there three or four times and dinner twice. The bar staff were extremely friendly and always cheerful. The resort is right on the beach, just a short walk along a boardwalk to an uncrowded stretch that feels private.

The oceanfront condos are beautiful and the pool is amazing. The good mood of the staff seems to show that they enjoy their jobs. Good job.

Our family has fallen for this place so much that we're even thinking of buying a unit or house here. The pool is gorgeous, the private beach is outstanding, and the staff have been fantastic, helpful, and exceptionally friendly. They seem to have thought of everything. Highly recommend!

This is a lovely, picturesque place to unwind while staying close to plenty of activity. The communal golf course, soccer field, and tennis courts are wonderful, and the landscaping is well maintained. The drivers are helpful, and some rentals include golf carts. It's pretty, safe, and secure, and I would recommend staying here. We enjoyed being able to go back and forth into town on the ferry. It runs every 15 or 30 minutes depending on direction, but check the timetable because rougher seas can change it to hourly. Water taxis are available after hours. Taxis and Ubers can be picked up near Marina Cortez. A taxi from La Paz to the marina costs about USD $5, or a shuttle from Cabo San Lucas airport to La Paz is about USD $30. The ferry from Marina Cortez to Paraiso del Mar is free, as is the land taxi van to the accommodations, subsidized by the owners. There's a lovely pool at the villas, with food and drinks from Cabana, plus a hot tub and children's pool. The ocean and La Paz views are magnificent, especially at sunset. The beach is glorious, with plenty of sand and a fairly large sandbar. Kayaks are available at the villas, but when it's busy you need to get up early to get one. Only one horseshoe of accommodations has been completed so far, with the other still to be finished by the developer. The Casas are much quieter, if that's what you're looking for. Only a few are rented, and even fewer have sea views, but most Casas are an easy walk from the beach and pool, except numbers 1-5.

There's way too much to list, it's amazingly beautiful. The locals are so friendly, and I could easily live here. We rented a house that sleeps 10. So awesome. ❤🌞
