Hotel DORALBA INN Chichén

Things were generally good, and the location was okay. I just would’ve liked a little more privacy from the main highway.

We really enjoyed staying here. It was clean and affordable, with a great pool, and it’s close to Chichen Itza. Just right for one night on a road trip.

For $33, it’s a good deal, and I wouldn’t have expected breakfast at that price, even though what they served was very minimal. The place is in a natural setting about five minutes from the site. There’s a huge pool designed to look like a cenote, plus a smaller one by the bar. The rooms were okay, but the property is run down and could use some improvements.

The room was very clean, comfortable, and quite pretty. The hotel sits between the jungle and the road, so you can hear frogs and see fireflies. It has two pools, including a rustic one with a cenote-style bottom, plus a bar and restaurant with adequate prices. Breakfast and coffee are included, and there’s plenty of free parking. We paid 900 MX per night, about 31 USD on booking.com, and the Chichen Itza Archeological Site is 10 minutes away. The rooms aren’t completely sealed from outside. In our bathroom, the window had metal mesh and segments with wide gaps, so lizards, insects, and spiders could possibly get in. We found one of each in there.
