The plumbing and cleaning were both awful. The shower barely trickled, with less pressure than a leaky faucet, and the toilets wouldn't flush. When I asked for help, they handed me a plunger and told me to handle it myself. I couldn't find any kitchen appliances or utensils, so cooking wasn't really an option. The whole apartment smelled filthy, and clean towels or sheets came with an absurd $60 charge. Their so-called complimentary cleaning left the same dirty linens in place and did nothing. During cleaning, someone rummaged through my partner's purse. We came back to fresh bloodstains on the floor too. I also left behind my laptop charger. The concierge confirmed they had it, and I arranged for a driver to collect it from a neighboring city. After the driver spent hours and money on the trip, the concierge stopped answering calls and messages. The driver was stranded, and I never got the charger. Either they stole it or couldn't be bothered. The listed Google Maps address isn't where you end up. They send you to another building, and you might land in 201N, above a busy main road. Delivery trucks, buses, and horns made noise all night. The mattress felt like concrete wrapped in cardboard, and the walls and shower had unchecked black mold over rotting wood counters. I left with a severe ear infection after sleeping on one side of that disgusting bed, and my hearing is still damaged. Maybe the mold could cause a lung infection too, but I can't say that happened to me. I've been traveling to more than 50 countries for over 30 years, and this is the worst place I've encountered. I've never written a review before, but this was bad enough that I felt I had to warn people. If you value your health, peace of mind, or belongings, stay somewhere else. A park bench would be preferable.

We booked through Expedia and spent three days here. After visiting Playa del Carmen three or four times, this was our first trip without an all-inclusive, and we found the accommodation more than adequate, even better than some pricier all-inclusives we've tried. The front desk staff were friendly, especially Josue, and our concierge responded quickly. Isabelle was also very friendly and helpful. We liked being able to walk around, explore the streets, take evening strolls, and try local restaurants. They were budget friendly compared with the overpriced, nasty all-inclusive buffets. There's a mega supermarket within walking distance for essentials if you want to cook, and street tacos across from it. The street vendors get lots of reviews online, including the milk that's popular on TikTok. Fifth Avenue and just about anywhere we'd want to go were easy to reach on foot. If you like exploring and meeting friendly locals, this place felt like a hidden gem. I rarely review stays, but wanted to share this one. My wife and I had our best Playa del Carmen experience here, and I'll return next time. I agree the walls may not block sound well, but we had fine neighbors and the noise wasn't an issue for us. If you're after an all-night party scene, an all-inclusive might give you the same thing. For me, vacations are about experiences and memories. Thank you, ANAH suites.

The rooms look nice inside, but they're missing basic items: no safe, hair dryer, cups, or even a toilet paper holder. The walls are paper thin, so I could hear individual words from next door. At 3 a.m. people were talking and playing music, and I heard everything even though they weren't being especially loud. This feels more like an Airbnb in a condo than a four-star hotel. I never spoke to an actual front desk person, and getting the key was handled through WhatsApp.

The walls between rooms are too thin to keep out the neighbors' noise, and since you can't choose who stays next door, they can really affect your experience. The concierge was friendly, though, and the location is convenient between Ave. Constitution and the ADO alt bus station.
