Caroline PH - At Bahay Condos

The rooftop and its view are spectacular, and the administration is always helpful. I've stayed many times in the perfect one-bedroom condo at Bahay condos while traveling to Playa del carmen. It's in a fantastic spot, just steps from the ocean and great restaurants and coffee shops. I'd recommend Bahay condos to my closest family and friends. Salud!

We spent a great stay at Bahay Condos – Apartment 201. The apartment was clean, beautiful and comfortable, with everything we needed for a short or long visit. It felt like home and worked well for two to four people. The rooftop was one of our favorite places. There's Wi-Fi, comfortable seating for working or relaxing, a lovely pool, and even an ocean view. We watched sunsets from up there. The host was helpful and everything went smoothly. It's only a few minutes on foot from Fifth Avenue and the beach, with restaurants, cafés, supermarkets and Oxxo stores nearby. Even with all that close by, the area was quiet and peaceful, which made it easy to relax. We'd happily stay again and recommend it to anyone visiting Playa del Carmen.

The building is nice, and the rooftop pool is great. I would have given it five stars if not for the noise. Music from the hotel behind us is loud every night, and construction on the corner has made it very hard to relax. Living beside the abandoned house has also been a challenge. Homeless people are there, and one person took his own life there. We've complained about the house and the late-night music. They're trying to get the people evicted because they fight among themselves and use drugs. It is a nightmare to witness, let alone live next to. I'm flabbergasted that anything goes in Mexico 🇲🇽 and that respect for tourists is completely absent.

Room 406 is a great value, with lovely decor and everything supplied. It comes with beach bikes and a beautiful view, and you're just a few steps from everything in Carmen. Stay here.
