The host, “Concierge for U”, gave us the wrong directions and access code, so we couldn’t get into the building right away. That was frustrating after I’d just landed, especially since I had no data or Mexican SIM to contact him. He denied all the issues, even with evidence, so we had to escalate it with Airbnb. The apartment wasn’t as described: maintenance was poor, paint was coming off the walls, and a light blinked all night. The ventilation outside the bedrooms was extremely loud, as loud as the fridge, around 56 dB, almost like a vacuum cleaner, 24/7. There were loose boards on the terrace fence that didn’t feel safe for guests. Several listed amenities were missing: a bathtub, hairdryer, safe, toaster, shampoo, and soap. Soap was the only thing the host offered to provide. The place was dusty. Avoid this place, we had a horrible experience.

It’s quiet and the apartment is huge, especially by NYC standards, with a pretty high-end feel. The roof is nice, though it could use more shade and loungers. Getting around looked awkward on the map, but shops and restaurants are closer in person, and Mamitas beach club helps. Even so, I found it overpriced compared with what I paid as an Airbnb guest and the units I saw listed to rent or buy. If a peaceful spot is what you want, this may suit you.

The rooftop is wide open, and the building pool sits right outside the penthouse door. This is a chance to invest in what I’d call one of the best penthouses in town: two bedrooms and three complete full bathrooms. Asking price: $475,000 USD.

The apartment my friend is renting here is really spacious, and the location is great. The rooftop pool is amazing, with lovely views.
