We only had one night here, but really liked the place and the manager. The setup seems comfortable for a longer stay too, with a kitchenette, a clothesline on the balcony, a good bed, and a nice shower and bathroom. The shared garden is small, though, and I couldn't get away from some obnoxious Canadians making rude comments about groups of people. I was mad at myself for not speaking up. There are two food stalls on the corner with great food. Across the street, a small sit-down place serves wonderful food, and the family there was attentive and lovely.

The area around it wasn't my favorite, but the hotel itself is lovely. Each room has an open patio and hammocks, and the courtyard has a few turtles alongside a small, nice pool. There's also an entertainment space and an outdoor kitchen, which give the little hotel a distinctive feel. It's about five blocks from the beach and nearby tourist areas.

The rooms are really clean, and the staff are great. They clean the pool every day, and there's a resident cat called Coco who'll sunbathe beside you. I just wish the beds had better pillows.

I'd lived in Playa for years and had no idea this little paradise was here. I came to see Max, and the place looked just as lovely again. The rooms and grounds are fresh and clean, the gardens are gorgeous, and the pool sparkles. The turtle pond is full of healthy tortoises. Reception was welcoming, and the manager even gave up her parking spot while I spent two hours there with Max and Rattlesnake. I'd love to stay for a vacation or live there full time. For now, I'm definitely looking forward to visiting again.

We stayed a little over a week and thought it was great for the money. The rooms could be a bit nicer, but at this price it's hard to do better. You can walk to the beach, and the outdoor area and pool are both great. Nearby eateries have a local feel, even though they're only a few blocks from the beach.
