Hotel Quinta Santa Anita

The area wasn’t especially nice, but it didn’t feel unsafe. The hotel is about a 10-15 minute walk from the Main Street, 20 minutes from the ADO turistica bus stop, and 6 minutes from the ADO Alterna bus stop. We chose it because the price was reasonable despite the mixed reviews, but our stay matched the lower ratings. Expedia listed check-in at 2:00 p.m., yet we were told we couldn’t check in until 3:00 p.m. Our top-floor room had stained sheets and towels, and the Wi-Fi didn’t work. When we asked to change rooms, we were told there’d be no availability for the next two days and that the Wi-Fi was fine, with our phones being the problem. Fortunately, a different receptionist was there in the morning and moved us to a first-floor room with a stronger signal. That fixed the Wi-Fi, but the sheets and towels there were stained too.

Our Airbnb fell through, and at 2 am we were wandering the streets looking for somewhere to stay. This was the only place that opened its door, and we were grateful for the air conditioning and clean room. It’s within walking distance of the main tourist areas, the beach, a Laundromat, and places to eat.

I stayed here for about two months, and by the end it was hard to say goodbye to all the friendly people working there. The hotel is clean and comfortable, in a somewhat quieter spot that’s still close to everything. I had a great time and it almost felt like home. Thanks for a good stay! M from Alemania ;-)

I stayed here twice. The first visit was for two nights, and I enjoyed it. The room was perfect and comfortable. That stay cost $66.84 USD. A few days later, while I was at another hotel, I saw a charge for $66.99. There wasn’t a working phone number for the hotel on Google, so I had to go there in person. Then I waited two more days to speak with the manager. The manager had me talk to their bank, but the bank couldn’t do anything. When I tried to explain how I’d calculated the charges, they insisted I was confused and couldn’t read my account properly, then laughed in my face. It was a terrible way to treat a customer. I was sure they’d help resolve it, so I stayed one night while waiting for the issue to be sorted out. My account ended up in the negative. I guess that because I don’t speak good Spanish, I was an easy target. Please be careful about who you do business with out here. This is a real review from a single struggling mother. 😪 P.S. The room on my last night smelled of mold. The first room didn’t, but the second one did.
