The staff were really nice, and the room was still quite large and pleasant. The rooftop view was nice too. It seems this used to be a luxurious hotel, but now it needs some care: the mirror and tub are wearing out, and the bubble bath needs a deep clean. The pool was out of order. Breakfast felt like it was only there so they could say they serve it. The scrambled eggs had no taste, the coffee tasted like water, and the orange juice was made from powder 😅.

The room stayed at a fixed temperature, and they had no blankets, just offered me a sheet. It was really noisy too, with a loud bar right next door. Definitely not a VIP hotel.

The rooms and facilities didn’t live up to the pictures or anything I’d expect from a five-star hotel. The walls, sheets, and towels were stained, and the jetted tub smelled like it hadn’t been cleaned properly. On the balcony, around 20% of the tub tiles were missing, leaving old grout exposed. We were told the balcony pool was available, but it only had cold water and looked worn and unclean, much like the outdoor pool. I was left wondering about the mattress, too. 🤮 The arrival didn’t inspire confidence either. The big purple sign was rusted, as was the metal awning holding up the glass. The hotel sits on a pothole-filled dirt road that feels like a shady alley, and there was just one receptionist, probably because they don’t get many bookings. There are no phones in the rooms or at the front desk, so contact is through WhatsApp on cell phones. I don’t mind WhatsApp, but it’s strange not to have a direct line when you need the desk. There’s no luggage storage, valet, doorman, house car, butler service, nightly turndown, or fine dining restaurant and separate lounge or bar. The place also lacks the kind of pools, fitness center, spa, and dining facilities I’d expect at that level. A concierge available at least 16 hours a day is another typical five-star feature, and I didn’t see that here. The room photos don’t match the stained walls and bedding, either. I’d seen enough and left right away without an incident. I was so disgusted I didn’t even ask for a refund. If you come from humble beginnings, this might feel like an upgrade, and I mean that respectfully. But if you’re used to real cleanliness and above-average accommodations, steer clear. I don’t understand why they claim five stars. Hotels at that level are recognized for luxury, personal service, and amenities, and are often evaluated by groups like the American Automobile Association (AAA) or Forbes Travel Guide. This place doesn’t offer that experience. They got me this time, but never again. Absolute disappointment! 🗑️

The location is perfect and the rooms are good, but the amenities listed on Expedia weren’t there. The listing says there are 2 bars, 1 restaurant, a spa, and massage services, and none were present at the property. I tried calling the front desk several times without getting an answer. Hot water was unreliable, so most of the time we had cold showers. I’d booked a jacuzzi, but couldn’t enjoy it because there was no hot water.
