The view was great, and the location near the malecón was great too. It was good value overall. Inside, though, there was rust throughout the room, and much of the furniture was very worn. There are plenty of small practical things that could be improved. Compared with another local hotel that has a kitchenette, this one could do better. The staff were polite, but not always very attentive. Noise from the pool and kids in the hallway was really loud.
We paid cash for five days, and I'm regretting it. We'll look for another hotel tomorrow. They only gave us two old, grey bath towels, no facecloths or hand towels. The TV works, but the sound is poor, and although they say they speak English here, don't count on it. The pillows were so hard, like a pile of jeans. I asked for them to be changed, and they did change them. The bar plays loud music into the indoor courtyard, which all the rooms face through glass windows and doors. With tile floors and concrete walls, the sound carries into our room, and it's hard to hear a movie. They told me the music goes until 11 PM. When we ask them to turn it down, they do, but the volume gradually creeps back up. We're supposed to be here five days. Are we going to have this fight every night? I don't recommend this hotel.
The atmosphere was nice, and the singing waitress was really sweet. Service took a while, but they were very busy. The Monday evening chicken wing special was very good. We'll go again.
The location is great, but the rooms are really dirty and the customer service is poor. The bathroom is full of fungus 🤢
They kept telling me to wait a little longer, though they won't admit there's no hot water in the rooms. I left the hot water tap running for over an hour, timed it, and it still didn't get hot.
