It was clean, right on the beach, and beside the dinosaur museum, so the location really couldn't be better. They were kind enough to accommodate my dogs. But the room was the most uncomfortable I've ever stayed in: hard mattresses, scratchy sheets, no hot water, and Wi-Fi too weak to use.

The beach is quiet and lovely, and we enjoyed walking along the shore. Staff were really nice and helpful, and the rooms were fine. The bathroom had a strange smell, though, and the toilet barely flushed. We hadn't known beforehand about the 250 pesos per night pet fee. You'll need a car because it's far from Centro, with nothing within walking distance. The hotel has water, but no coffee or food, or anything else. It was okay, and we enjoyed our stay.

We had a wonderful two-night trip with a close friend and her older dog. The grounds were pristine, and you can step straight onto what felt like our own private beach. The location couldn't be better, and the price is hard to beat. The staff were incredibly helpful and attentive, especially Mar, who’s an angel on earth. They knew the area and helped with anything we asked. One thing to know: you'll need Spanish to communicate with the staff. That worked for me since I've gotten pretty good at Spanish during my time in Mexico. If you only speak English, make sure your phone has data, because you'll definitely be using a translator app.

The staff were friendly, and for a very short visit the place was decent enough. Still, even though it’s relatively cheap for Progreso, we didn’t feel it was worth the price. It’s too far from the nicer stretches of beach and the malecón. The AC in our room didn’t work, but staff moved us next door where it did. Both rooms were sparse and oddly laid out, with dangerous raised edges on the bathroom floors that nearly made us both fall. The beds only had thin sheets, no blankets, so keeping a comfortable temperature was tricky.

The bathroom was about the size of a whole room 😁. We slept with the windows open, listening to the surf, and didn’t need the AC or fan, even on December 31st. It’s a clean, new place on a quiet, safe beach. The walk to the city center takes 30 minutes, but going along the beach makes it pleasant.
