Casa Haus Hotel Puebla Centro Histórico

The hotel itself is beautiful, quiet, comfortable, and a great value. But at checkout, just as we were leaving, the front desk said we owed 100 peso for "extra cleaning" because of a spill on the sheets. We had cleaned it ourselves, and there was nothing visible. The cleaner had seen the sheets hanging to dry the day before, and I suppose they thought they could squeeze money out of us on our way out. My fiance is Mexican, and I know the cleaner saw us, so the whole thing felt really tacky. The toilet tank was loose too, and we had to close the flapper by hand after every flush. We should've refused to pay, but our uber was waiting and it didn't seem worth arguing. I'll remember this, and post this review. We're respectful people and always leave things clean, so the charge felt ridiculous. The coffee in the room was awful as well.

We all loved the hotel. The room was beautiful and quiet, and the bed was so comfortable. We also had the best shower we've had since coming to Mexico. Breakfast was delicious, and we'd highly recommend staying here.

The rooms were beautifully decorated and very clean, and the double windows kept ours quiet even though it faced the street. Casa Haus is close to the main downtown attractions, but tucked away enough to feel restful. I wish we'd booked a longer stay.

Friendly staff, and the hotel was nice. The room was clean and comfortable.
