Hostalgia

The room was large, and the beds were comfortable and warm. The WiFi was excellent, and the showers had hot water and good pressure. There’s a kitchen for cooking and storing food, and they provided toiletries. Staff were friendly and even arranged pizza and laundry pickup for us. It’s well located, with lots of places within walking distance and a bus line one block away. A few things to know: there’s no drinking water on site, though there’s a store three doors down, and there’s no closet. They lock the front door after 6 pm, so you have to knock or call to get in.

The bed was large and comfortable, and the location was great. The room was reasonably quiet, though there was quite a bit of street noise over the weekend before things settled down in the evening. The shower had hot water, but the pressure was very low. One annoyance was that they locked the door fairly early in the morning and at night, so I had to call and wait a bit for someone to let me in.

A welcoming place with a king-sized bed, and very good value for the price.

I attended a nice course there and thought the location was good. I didn’t stay in a room. The reception staff seemed short on information and friendliness when greeting guests. There was no toilet paper, hand towels, or hair dryer in the restroom. I did appreciate the respectful, non-discriminatory service, which matters in a private place like a restroom.
