Luma B&B made our visit to Puebla feel magical. The city has beautiful art, food, culture, and ancient history and secrets, and staying here made the whole trip special. It's close to the historic part of town but just outside the bustle, in a quiet, relaxed area. The place feels like an artist's home recreated in a gallery, with thoughtful little details everywhere: water and glasses on a tray with a candelabra, furniture that suits each room, and just enough space to feel at home. Even ordinary things felt special. The bed was instantly relaxing, the sheets finer than any I may ever own, and the soap and other extras were lovely. Everything we needed to feel comfortable in an unfamiliar place was there. After we'd been out for the day, we came back to find our room cleaned and water refreshed, but also our clothes folded and dishes and bins provided in sizes that fit what we'd left out. It felt like our belongings had been cared for with more thought than I would've given them myself, which was endearing. Hotel cleaning can feel invasive when things get rearranged, but this didn't. Breakfast was impeccable and they made adjustments for dietary needs. The table had assorted silver, painted plates, and squirrel-shaped knife rests, with a cozy feel despite looking like something from a housekeeping magazine. There was toast and jam, fresh fruit and yogurt, coffee made in individual French presses, homemade tortillas, smoky salsa, and sauces made from scratch. Malu cares deeply, and it shows in her thoughtful food. Fancy restaurants that make complicated dishes just for the sake of being fancy don't compare. The hosts are a huge part of what makes this place. Luis welcomed us warmly when we dropped our bags early, then again when we returned for our first night. He was gracious, gentle, and curious about us. Malu was eager to connect, and patient and helpful as we tried out our broken Spanish. She made us feel like family and right at home. I nearly had one small complaint about the long curtains covering the glass door, since a tiny crack let in light. Then I spotted the strip of velcro running along them, which let us seal the light out completely. It's hard to overstate how worthwhile a stay at Luma B&B is.

What a peaceful little haven in busy Puebla. The hotel is a short walk from the city center and stunning in every detail, from the carefully designed rooms to the way breakfast is served. The owners are so charming and welcoming, and breakfast was delicious. If you want a different kind of stay, this hidden gem is a must.

The room was spacious, charming, and very clean, and the yard was superb. The location was perfect, too. The care they put into the details was extraordinary. A lovely stay, highly recommended for a memorable visit. Thank you, Luis and Malu!

We've traveled a lot, but haven't experienced this level of hospitality or attention to detail before. We felt completely at home, and the food was amazing too. Thank you for a wonderful experience. It's lovely that a place with people like this exists.

The place is beautiful and quiet, with thoughtful little touches all over. The hosts are so friendly and sweet, and the breakfasts were SO good. We wish we could've stayed longer, but it was an incredible way to start our trip. Muchas gracias Malu and Luis!
