I’m writing to report several troubling problems from our stay at your Puebla hotel. The incident that upset us most was someone opening our room door while we were inside. It left us distressed and feeling unsafe, and suggests a serious failure in room security and hotel procedures. We also found that items we had bought as souvenirs during a stop in León, Guanajuato were missing after we got home. They had been left in the trunk of our vehicle while it was parked at the hotel. We did not have access to the parking lot, which raises concerns for us about the property’s security and guests’ belongings. When I went to the front desk for help, the staff member there was asleep, which was unacceptable given the staff’s responsibility for guest safety. The fitness center was so small that only two people could comfortably be in it at once, which fell short of reasonable expectations for a hotel facility. These problems affected both our stay and our sense of safety. I respectfully ask that you review them and let us know what steps you’ll take to address the concerns and prevent similar incidents.

We liked Royalty in Puebla enough to return after leaving town and coming back to Puebla later. We stayed there for one day, and the central location means everything is close by. The service was great, the hotel was very clean, and I loved the lotion they provide. Customer service was 10 out of 10. Breakfast wasn’t the tastiest or, in my opinion, very authentic, though tastes differ.

Vanessa checked us in and gave us a lovely room with a view of the Zócalo. She was professional and so courteous, always greeting us with a smile. The location was spectacular, the room was immaculate, and the staff were attentive and eager to please. We had an amazing stay and will definitely come back!

The coffee was good, but the rest of breakfast was a mess. We waited an hour, and by the time they arrived the eggs and salmon were cold. Service was horrible, and the bread we needed at the start only came at the end. I don't know what went wrong in their kitchen.

The rooftop restaurant had delicious food and a great atmosphere. The location is perfect, and housekeeping did a great job making sure we had what we needed. The premium room we upgraded to was spacious, with a great view of the Zocalo and cathedral, a comfortable bed, and a roomy shower. Getting that room took an argument, even though my Gold tier membership entitled me to a free upgrade. They don't mention when you book that the standard room is small and has no window at all. They should be transparent about that. Reception wasn't very helpful with the upgrade either. Breakfast was so-so, with fresh fruit and good cereal, but stale pastries. Espresso drinks cost extra. It's a very good place to stay if you choose the premium room and skip breakfast.
