The front desk team were exceptionally friendly and attentive, and the location is perfect for the price. My spacious, lovely room opened directly onto a shared mini-terrace. It got extremely hot inside, though, because there were only two small windows and no fan. A fan would have made it much more comfortable. I’d definitely recommend staying here and will come back myself.

The location is very good, but it was impossible to rest with the noise and uncomfortable bed. Music pounded from 6 p.m. until 2 a.m. An Irish pub downstairs, now part of the hotel, played Death Metal and Irish punk extremely loudly with the door left open. Across the hotel, a nightclub kept club music going until 2 a.m. The mattress and pillows were stiff, and I kept waking up with severe back and neck pain. On top of that, the water heating system didn’t work for half our stay.

It’s in a great spot, just two blocks from the Zoccolo, and the inner courtyard is pleasant. But the rooms have no windows, feel bare, and smell musty. The staff weren’t friendly or especially helpful.

This is a peaceful, beautiful hotel with a Mexican colonial feel. Breakfast was good, with coffee, fruit, and eggs, and the zócalo is only two streets away.
