Plaza Poblana

The rooms were spacious and very clean, and the staff were polite and professional. There’s a coffee maker, plus a very nice outdoor seating area. Getting to the bus terminal is especially quick.

The place was pet-friendly, and I saw a few guests arrive with dogs. Restaurants and grocery stores are within walking distance. That’s about all I can say in its favor. The accommodations were just okay, but the customer service was awful. I booked and paid online for a room for four, yet the front desk person tried to charge me twice. We only had two towels, and when I asked for two more, she said they could provide only two because the room was meant for two people. That made no sense after seeing all four of us, especially when the room had two double beds and was advertised as a DOUBLE room. The shower flooded whenever we used it. The worst part was that the AC didn’t work at all, and my family and I couldn’t sleep that night. When we asked for the AC remote, they said they couldn’t give it to us, so we had to call the front desk every time we wanted to adjust it.

The roomy bathroom, TV, coffee maker, lift, underground parking, little pool and play area all sounded good for the price. But we barely enjoyed the vacation because we were exhausted. The beds were uncomfortable for all of us, and not one of us got a decent night's sleep. Noise was the bigger problem: with such thin walls and ceilings, we could hear people running and talking in the halls, and guests kept making noise from 11 am until 3 am. We didn't complain, and staff didn't seem to act on it even though there were noise rules. Taking off another star for comfort. 😓

The hotel felt really disorganized. We were first told checkout was at 1, then told we had to leave by 12. Our room hadn't been cleaned either: one bed's blanket had something rubbed all over it, and the other bed was covered in hair. We asked the front desk to replace the blanket.
