LA VioLeta Hotel Boutique

The owners are very friendly, and the atmosphere is great for a conversation. I went to the restaurant this past weekend and had excellent service and very good food. They also offer mezcal tastings with varieties from different regions. It’s behind Plaza San Francisco. There’s parking for a few cars, but I’d leave the car at the plaza and walk through the gardens :) They take you straight there.

The place looks really pretty, but I can’t recommend it. The food was poor in taste and presentation, and the portions were tiny. They didn’t even have ashtrays in the smoking area. The manager gave us dirty looks almost the whole time. 👎🏼

I went to an event yesterday and it was awful. The staff were still figuring out the payment terminal and how to make drinks, and the stand-up comedians showed up late. Then the power went out. They did their show without microphones, but couldn’t hold the audience’s attention, even though they said they’d expected a bigger crowd. I’d never go back.

Three measly tacos with just salsa for $150, and they act like this is a 5-star place. Hahaha, don’t make things up. The prices are excessive and the service is terrible. I wouldn’t go back and absolutely don’t recommend it. I hope they improve, because word of mouth is the best advertising, and they’re doing very badly.
