The rooms are lovely, quaint, and beautiful, and the courtyard is lovely too. It was quiet, the hotel staff were very friendly, and the price was great. I’d highly recommend it!

This historic mansion sits right in the heart of Puebla’s old town, a few blocks from the Zócalo and very close to the Convention Center. It has single, double, and triple rooms in a no-frills colonial style. It’s family-run, so the service feels personal, and the prices are affordable. There’s a lovely central courtyard, and the house’s old decor and details make it a great place to take photos.

The good points are the location and affordable prices. It doesn’t have its own parking, though there’s a lot next door that charges $10 per hour. The old-fashioned feel and furnishings make the hotel cozy, but cleanliness and maintenance are serious problems. My room’s sheets and bedspread were dirty, with hair and stains of who-knows-what. The bathroom looked as if it hadn’t been cleaned: the toilet was dirty, and the shower doors were covered in soap splashes. Dust had built up in several corners, the door didn’t close properly, and the internet signal was weak. Worst of all, nearly 40 liters of water had to be wasted before it got hot. The owner said he was working on that problem, but the repairs were very expensive and would take time. For my other complaints and suggestions, he said thank you and that he’d take them into account. :/ It could work if the room is checked before anyone moves in, so the needed fixes can be made.

We were a group of 11, and everyone was very happy with our stay. Mr. Antuan, his mother, and his brother looked after us personally; they’re very kind and friendly. The service was excellent, and the prices were very reasonable. The rooms were spacious and very clean, and it was a real pleasure sleeping in such a beautiful hotel where you can feel the history of Puebla. It’s a typical place in this lovely city, close to historical and tourist spots like El Parián, the Cathedral, and the Government Palace. My family and I stayed a month ago, and we’ll definitely come back to this historic, beautiful place.
