Santo Refugio made our quick trip to Puebla/Cholula feel like a real getaway. My husband and I spent two nights there and had a wonderful time. It’s a lovely hotel with the amenities you need for a comfortable stay, and the staff made us feel at home. I’d recommend it to anyone visiting Puebla.

It’s an easy Uber ride into Puebla and even quicker to Cholula, and I’d happily stay here again. Santo Refugio has beautiful grounds and a lovely building, with really kind staff and good food. The heated pool was a big plus. I hope I’m back when they have one of their grill cookouts. And a special mention for Tannat, the hotel dog, who was so sweet.

If you’re in Puebla, this is the place I’d pick to stay or hold an event. The setting is beautiful, and the food and service are second to none. It’s the most beautiful hidden place in Mexico.

The gardens and facilities are spacious and beautiful, the food is delicious, and everything was set up impeccably. Still, the service left us with a very bad impression. The contract was unclear, and some services we’d requested weren’t provided. Breakfast came with items missing, and the waiters and captain were rude and unprofessional. We even heard them making negative remarks about guests while we were there. The parking area was a mud pit, and a lot of guests got dirty. The poor service is what ruined the experience. Be careful with the customer service here.
