Friendly, courteous, helpful service, with no complaints there. The wheelchair accessible shower is spacious and laid out reasonably well. The room itself, though, had a queen bed, not the king shown in the reservation. Hopefully that was just a rookie mistake and not intentionally misleading. TRU by Hilton is expensive for what it offers, probably because it’s in a fancy area, even though it’s away from the main tourist spots. For about $70-$75 USD a night, you basically get a shower and a bed. That may be fine for a short stay or if you’ll be out all day, but there’s no proper place to eat or work, just a small fridge, no microwave, and no bedside table on either side. For around $10 more, the much better, more comfortable Hilton Garden Inn is just 20 feet away. For around $10 less, the similar but more comfortable Hampton Inn is a few miles farther. Hoteliers should keep in mind that guests with disabilities in Mexico hardly ever travel alone. Don’t just provide a wheelchair accessible room, make it functional, with either two beds or a king size bed.
