A lovely, relaxing place.

We had a reservation for 10 rooms today, but when we asked to cancel, the hotel refused both a refund and a new date. The roads were blocked because of a nationwide security situation, and the government was advising people to stay indoors, so we decided not to travel. For a hotel that presents itself as high-end, I’m disappointed they didn’t understand the circumstances. I wouldn’t recommend booking a group here, since there’s no flexibility at all.

We left Villa Toscana feeling vulnerable, with no clear idea of what had happened. On our departure day, an unknown number with the hotel’s picture contacted us by calls and messages. The person claimed to work there and said there was “a serious problem,” but wouldn’t explain, only asking if we were still in our room. They had our information and knew who and where we were, which was frightening. Reception handled our report poorly and unprofessionally. They denied any link to the number and said they don’t share personal data, but gave no reasonable explanation or real help. The manager even speculated, without any basis, that “someone was probably following us,” which sounded absurd and made us more anxious. Safety and transparency should be priorities at a hotel, and we felt both were badly lacking here. After this disturbing experience, we wouldn’t return or recommend the hotel.
