This is a place to relax, get away from society, and disconnect. The Wi-Fi was spotty, but I was fine with that. The food is mainly seafood, though there are other menu options too. I’m 99.99% sure the seafood we ordered came straight from the ocean we were looking at. The staff made the experience feel out of this world. Ángel and Denis were among them, along with others whose names I’ve forgotten. Locals at the beach and nearby restaurants were also so friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The beds are hard, and our bathroom sink took a while to drain, but those felt minor next to everything else. The restaurant next door offers a snorkeling tour that I highly recommend. SanMiguel, the man who runs it, had over 12 years of lifeguard experience at Mexico’s most dangerous beach. I saw his skills at work on our tour, and he’s a great guy. If you want a true escape, this is the place. There’s no need to leave the hotel.

The food was disgusting, and my son and I both got sick. After breakfast, he threw up for five hours on the plane home, while I was still there, bedridden for a week. Staff didn’t speak a word of English, couldn’t read their own menus, weren’t helpful, and were somewhat rude. They gave us just one roll of toilet paper for the whole week. The pool was very small, and $300 a night is a joke and a rip-off.

I heard a woman complain that the pool was too small while we were right beside the ocean. She also got mad at the service reps for not speaking English, even though we’re in Mexico.
