Casa de la Gente Nube

The view over Playa Zicatela and the city of PE is gorgeous, and the sunset alone made the location worthwhile. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the family hosting us was lovely.

It felt like staying in a forest cabin, with the beach just around the corner. Mornings brought clear skies, lovely views, birds and squirrels on the balcony, and no traffic or nightlife noise. 👍 The one drawback is that the internet isn't very stable if you rely on it.

The family run feel made Casa De La Gente Nube especially welcoming. The owner was laid back, spoke great English, and was really helpful. When we couldn't find a taxi at the end of our stay, he drove us to the bus station himself. My boyfriend and I spent just over a week here while travelling around Mexico. The owner kindly offered us an upgrade when a room became available, and both rooms were comfortable, clean, and well maintained. Each had a lovely view of the sea through the native trees, with spectacular sunsets. There was also a small breakfast buffet each morning at a very reasonable price. We rented a scooter through the hotel at a rate much cheaper than other places nearby, which made exploring different spots and beaches easy. Zicatala beach was only an easy two minute walk away, too. I'd definitely recommend it for a good vibe, convenient location, and a stay that won't break the bank.

For the price, this was a good stay. The room was comfortable, with a nice ocean view and a fan that kept it at a pleasant temperature. WiFi worked well in the central area. There wasn't hot water, though I think that's fairly common around here. Breakfast was nice, with fruit and granola.
