Hotel Las Olas

It’s a lovely little getaway, and getting to the beach so easily more than makes up for the bit of music nearby 😍💕

Room 5 faces the street, and the noise from La Esmeralda was loud until 1 or 2 a.m., so I wouldn’t recommend that room. We ran the fan to cover it up, though the AC worked great. Hot water in the shower was unpredictable because it’s solar powered, and the pressure was weak. Manuel was friendly and accommodating, always smiling. We stayed a week, had the room serviced twice, and got our deposit back at checkout. The price was very reasonable, and the location was great. A pretty standard stay overall.

I decided not to stay after dealing with the rude management. She’s in the party district but has apparently closed several places over noise complaints, and she’s constantly angry and yelling at someone about something. There wasn’t any fun in sight. Not the kind of vibe I wanted on vacation. I’d recommend anywhere else.

We spent a month at Las Olas, where the staff were consistently helpful and friendly. The location was perfect, and for a hotel with a pool and private balconies, the price was unbeatable. Our room heated up all day, though, and it felt stifling in the evening and overnight, so I’d pay extra for the air conditioning.
