Hotel San Martin La Punta

Being close to the beach was the only reason I can give this place one star. I stayed for a week and the road was incredibly loud, with music blasting every night until 1 a.m. They let guests bring dogs, and someone left their dog alone in a room, barking from 6 in the morning. One night the power went out and we were left in the dark with no lights. The hotel doesn't provide drinking water at all. Worst travel experience I've had.

Fer was especially helpful when arranging our taxi to the airport. She got the timing right so we wouldn't miss our flight, and even negotiated the fare for us. The hotel is in a great location, our stay was comfortable, and all the staff were really nice and helpful.

Right in the heart of the village, the location was perfect. The rooms were well equipped, and the pool with its cozy loungers was a great place to relax. The staff were kind and supportive, too. I really enjoyed staying here, and definitely want to come back. Huge thanks to the staff!

I wouldn't recommend this place or stay here again. The bathroom smelled of sewage, and closing the door mostly contained it, but not completely. There was only body wash, no shampoo, conditioner, or hairdryer. The bed was hard and uncomfortable. I couldn't open a window because of the noise, and with the thin windows and doors you can hear nearly everything, even when they're shut. We booked on the dirt road called the “Main Street,” right beside a bar that played loud bass and music until past 11 p.m. I wish the hotel had mentioned that, since I'm an early-to-bed person. Afterward, intoxicated bar patrons hung around and were annoying. Motorcycles, scooters, and barking dogs on the street kept going well into the night. We had to leave town early for a long day, so we started it tired and irritated.
