I lost 4800 pesos in the end just to be done with this landlord. She kept promising to return my deposit, day after day, but nothing came through. When I left, I had taken videos of everything. She said she had an “emergency” and couldn’t do a checkout walkthrough or give me the deposit. Then she sent an electricity bill for $3000 pesos, even though my usual bill was $600 pesos. I spent five days trying to sort it out. People had warned me about her, and now I can see why. The problems started before I even moved in. I was told I could move in August 1st, then on July 31st the landlord said I couldn't come until August 3rd, leaving me without a place. At the walkthrough, she listed things she said she'd get for the apartment, but none showed up. She also said the suite would be painted, though I hadn't asked for that, and nobody came to paint it. We went five days without gas and several days without water. She asked me to pay rent early more than once. The building itself is nice, but she seems to have money problems and can't manage the apartment. She never kept her word from day one. Do not rent here. You'll be scammed.
