Leaving Casa del Sol after a week was hard. The staff were attentive, and we had every amenity we could have wanted. We also got a $200 voucher toward either a tour with Lighthouse Tours or massages with Gabriella. It’s a wonderful place to stay, but be sure to make time for the beach vendors and the local restaurants, bars, and shops.

We’ve been visiting Mexico for nine or ten years with groups both large and small, sometimes more than once a year, and Casa Del Sol was the best vacation rental we’ve had. We stayed over Christmas week in 2025 with 15 people, 13 adults and teenagers and two children. The house was immaculate and in good repair, and Roberto, the property manager, answered every question right away. We’ve rented from him in Puerto Morelos before, and he’s the absolute best. The kitchen had enough dishes and cookware for meals, plus two refrigerators and two dishwashers for our group. The pool was beautiful and kept clean. There was seating in sun and shade, at a table, on loungers, and by the beach just outside the gate. We played “bags” on the beach with the provided equipment, and the young kids enjoyed the toys and games. There are shops, beach bars, and restaurants within walking distance, so we never needed a car. Massages, tours, and yoga providers who work with the rental can come to the house to arrange things. Inside, we watched football and Christmas movies on Netflix and other services. We didn’t want to spend all our time indoors, but it was handy to have that option during football season and in the evenings. It was the best TV we’ve had in any of our rentals in Mexican.

Puerto Morelos was a pleasure to visit, with such helpful and friendly people. We had a great time and can’t wait to return to Casa Del Sol. Thanks, Katherine, for sharing your beautiful home. Katherine was responsive and sent useful details about the house and area before we arrived. The staff, including Roberto, Enrique, and the cleaning and grounds crew, were friendly and quick to answer questions. The house was immaculate, with lots of room for everyone. A power outage across the Yucatan Pennisula left us without electricity for almost eight hours. Roberto came by with flashlights to check on us, which helped a lot. It turned into quite an adventure. The Fives resort next door let us use their A/C and Wi-Fi, and their generator meant we could have a nice dinner there.

The best part for our four couples was the open feel of the shared space. The walls facing the pool area open all the way, so the common room feels connected to the outdoors.
